According to reports, the Turkish financial market regulatory authority has taken decisive action by closing access to dozens of cryptocurrency platforms, including the large decentralized exchange PancakeSwap, in an effort to curb the rapid growth of the digital asset market in the country. In early July 2025, the Capital Markets Board (CMB) announced that it had blocked 46 websites that were providing cryptocurrency-related services without authorization, citing violations of the Capital Markets Law.
