Cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com announced on Tuesday that it has become an official sponsor of The FIFA World Cup - Qatar 2022, for an undisclosed total amount of the transaction.

This prestigious event is scheduled to take place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2022. Crypto.com's branding will appear in and out of stadiums. As part of the sponsorship, the cryptocurrency exchange will offer its users the opportunity to enter contests and win official merchandise.

“No sport brings the world together like football, and no sporting event brings the world together the way FIFA World Cup does. Only a few brands have the privilege to participate as official sponsors, and we jumped at the opportunity to be the first brand to represent the crypto industry in this historic month-long event.” Crypto.com chief marketing officer Steven Kalifowitz said in a statement to Coindesk.

The crypto company has been running massive advertising campaigns. Last November, Crypto.com signed an agreement to rename Staples Center in Los Angeles as Crypto.com Arena for 20 years. Crypto.com also has a $25 million partnership with the Australian Football League, a $100 million sponsorship deal with Formula 1, and a 10-year $175 million sponsorship deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
