The suspect, Or Beilin, completed various tasks, including photographing sensitive locations and spraying political graffiti, as stated in a joint statement by Israeli security agencies and Tel Aviv police. The investigation revealed that Iranian agents contacted targets through social media platforms. Two other Israeli citizens, including 28-year-old Dmitri Cohen from Haifa, have also been arrested for similar espionage activities. Cohen is accused of gathering intelligence on the son's fiancée of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The suspects reportedly received $500 worth of cryptocurrency for each task completed, accumulating thousands of dollars.
