In a recent alert, cybersecurity company Kaspersky warned of a new malware called SparkKitty that steals photos from infected devices in an attempt to find cryptocurrency wallet mnemonic phrases. The malware infiltrates certain applications on Apple and Google app stores, targeting iOS and Android devices, indiscriminately stealing all images from the device's photo gallery. Kaspersky suspects the attackers' main goal is to obtain screenshots of mnemonic phrases, but the stolen images may also contain other sensitive data.
