According to Protos, despite nearly two years passing since the court judgment, Craig Wright has yet to pay the $143 million in damages. Ira Kleiman, brother of Wright's late friend and partner Dave Kleiman, claims that the lawyers responsible for recovering the funds have not attempted to 'enforce sanctions'. Kleiman stated in court documents filed last month that a 'stay order' issued on June 5, 2024, has delayed the deadline for Wright to pay the fees, allowing him to evade responsibility despite court orders.
