According to reports, Japanese listed company Metaplanet announced that it has successfully raised 74.9 billion yen (approximately $515 million) in equity capital by issuing 54 million shares through the exercise of the 20th stock subscription rights, to purchase more Bitcoin. This issuance accounts for 29% of the company's subscription rights, with approximately 1.31 million subscription rights (approximately 131 million shares) remaining to be exercised.
Prior to this, Metaplanet planned to issue a total of 555 million new shares (representing 92% of outstanding shares) to raise $5.4 billion for Bitcoin acquisitions.
