During a press conference at the White House on Friday, local time, US President Trump discussed the high-risk nature of the presidency and revealed for the first time the aftermath of last year's shooting incident. When asked about security threats he faces, Trump mentioned the incident on July 13, 2024, at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania where a bullet grazed his ear, saying 'it still jumps with pain, but that's nothing, this is a high-risk job.' Trump also compared risks of different professions, stating 'race car drivers have a death rate of 0.1%, bullfighters also have a death rate of 0.1%, which may seem low but it does exist. The death rate for presidents is as high as 5%. If someone had told me earlier, maybe I wouldn't have run. It's a dangerous job.' According to reports, out of the 45 presidents in US history, 4 have been assassinated, and several presidents and candidates have been shot at. (Jinshi Data APP)
