The National Bank is conducting in-depth research on the formation and management of the national cryptocurrency reserve, including developing it on the basis of the National Bank's affiliated institutions.
Kazakhstan plans to follow the experience of sovereign wealth fund management to ensure transparent accounting and storage of cryptocurrency assets, as well as transparency and security in managing the cryptocurrency reserve. Confiscated cryptocurrency assets and proceeds from national cryptocurrency mining will be sources for this reserve.
