BSC Completes Maxwell Hard Fork Upgrade, Block Time Reduced by Half to 0.75 Seconds

Summary: According to official sources, BSC has completed the Maxwell fork upgrade, which has increased transaction speed (reducing block time from 1.5 seconds to 0.75 seconds), improved network responsiveness, and optimized validator performance on BSC. The upgrade includes three main proposals, BEP-524, BEP-563, and BEP-564, each focusing on performance and scalability optimization. BEP-524 introduces faster block ...

According to official sources, BSC has completed the Maxwell fork upgrade, which has increased transaction speed (reducing block time from 1.5 seconds to 0.75 seconds), improved network responsiveness, and optimized validator performance on BSC. The upgrade includes three main proposals, BEP-524, BEP-563, and BEP-564, each focusing on performance and scalability optimization. BEP-524 introduces faster block intervals for nearly instant transaction confirmation; BEP-563 strengthens the validator consensus process by enhancing peer-to-peer message delivery and reducing the risk of missed votes and synchronization delays; BEP-564 introduces two new message types, GetBlocksByRangeMsg and RangeBlocksMsg, to accelerate data synchronization across validator nodes.
