According to reports, the German Savings Bank Group (Sparkasse) has decided to open cryptocurrency trading services to private clients, breaking a long-standing ban. The German Savings Bank and Giro Association (DSGV) announced on Monday: 'The Savings Bank Financial Group will establish a reliable channel for regulated cryptocurrency services.' In the future, self-directed clients can use the cryptocurrency services provided by DekaBank, a subsidiary of the Savings Bank Group, through the Savings Bank APP. A DekaBank spokesperson revealed that the related services are expected to be developed within a year, and clients may start trading cryptocurrencies in the summer of 2026.
