The introduction of the 'Seizure Act' in November last year allows law enforcement agencies to seize assets in cases where someone cannot prove their legitimate source of income. This means that if authorities suspect someone of illegally obtaining cryptocurrency and that person 'cannot explain its source,' police and other agencies will be able to legally seize it. The Justice Minister also noted that the new legislation is one of the strictest in Europe and has so far been used to seize property worth $8.4 million.
