'I'm excited for anyone looking to break free from the duopoly,' Yang said. 'I'm happy to help others understand what this path looks like.' After an unsuccessful bid for mayor of New York City in 2021 as a Democrat, Yang has increased his criticism of the American two-party system. The Forward Party has gained recognition in a few states and aims to have ballot access in all 50 states this year.
