Bitcoin miners brought in over $1 billion in revenues during February 2022, according to data compiled by The Block Research.

The vast majority of these revenues came from the block subsidy ($1.06 billion) while only about $13 million was acquired by transaction fees.

February marks the fourth consecutive month in which revenue totals have dropped, and almost a 13% decrease from January to February.

This decrease is due to the competition miners are facing. With more competition comes less profits.

The previous high came in October of last year, where the total revenues tallied at $1.72 billion. However, they have been dropping since that month. The all-time high comes in at $1.75 billion, achieved in March 2021.
