According to CoinDesk, cryptocurrency exchange Bitvavo recently obtained the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license from the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), allowing it to operate in 30 countries in the European Economic Area. Since the regulatory system came into effect last December, many cryptocurrency companies have applied for this license. MiCA will be implemented in 2023, covering regulatory rules for crypto assets in the EU's 27 countries as well as Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein.
