According to reports, Japanese cryptocurrency exchange operator BACKSEAT has announced the completion of its seed round financing, with Spiral Capital and Headline Asia co-leading the investment, and East Ventures participating. The company, established for one year, has accumulated a total funding of approximately 1.4 billion yen (about $9.69 million). The funds from this financing round will be used for product development, talent recruitment, and strengthening organizational structure. In February 2025, BACKSEAT acquired all shares of the Japanese cryptocurrency exchange 'coinbook' and established a wholly-owned subsidiary 'BACKSEAT Exchange (BSE).' (CoinDesk)
