According to reports, listed companies purchased 245,510 BTC in the first half of this year, more than double the 118,424 BTC purchased by ETFs during the same period. The current figure is a 375% increase from the 51,653 BTC purchased by enterprises in the first half of 2024. In contrast, the amount of BTC purchased by ETFs decreased by 56% compared to the same period last year. This may indicate that companies are now viewing Bitcoin not as a speculative investment, but more as a reserve of operating capital or long-term financial asset. The board cited reasons for purchasing Bitcoin as hedging against inflation, cross-border liquidity, and alignment with branding and digital finance.
