Bitcoin was ranked in 12th place out of 37 global cryptos in the CCID Global Public Chain Technology Index released by China's Center for Information and Industry Development on Thursday, June 18, as reported by Chainnews.

The evaluation criteria for the index considered basic technology, applicability, and creativity. The top three cryptocurrencies listed in the index are EOS, TRON, and ETH. 

Bitcoin has moved up from the previous index where it was ranked in 14th place.
