China’s e-commerce tycoons Alibaba and JD.com rallied in the June 18 shopping frenzy with a total turnover of $136.5 billion, marking a new record.

China’s e-commerce business gained major success in the June 18 shopping event. Alibaba’s Taobao Mall (Tmall) alone contributed revenue of $98.7 million on the day.
