The scammers that collected more than $2 billion worth of Bitcoin, Ethereum and EOS are moving funds back on to exchanges after months of inactivity, Thomas Silkjær, CEO and founder of XRPLedger insights platform Xrplorer noted in a tweet.

The scammers ran a ponzi-scheme through a wallet called PlusToken. PlusToken operators told users they would make high profits on their deposits.

In 2019, six of the wallet's operators were arrested, however funds from wallets associated with the scam were still laundering hundreds of thousands worth of BTC through exchanges.

These funds are once again on the move. Data shows that today the wallet still holds nearly $200 million worth of Ether. Silkjær reported that 20,000,000 XRP owned by a PlusToken address has moved to exchanges, primarily OKEx, HBTC, and Huobi.
