Venezuelan citizens will soon be able to pay for passports using Bitcoin, a reddit post on Tuesday, June 23 revealed.

Venezuelans will be able to renew passports or extend them using Bitcoin. Venezuela's Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Foreigners (SAIME) is using BTC PayServer to handle issuance and management of payment addresses.

SAIME has not officially announced Bitcoin payments and it is unclear which accounts can access the service.
