Elon Musk squashed rumors that he is working on building a project on Ethereum in a recent tweet.

Twitter users began speculating that Musk was working on a blockchain project after actor William Shatner tweeted on Tuesday, May 19 that Vitalik Buterin and Musk were working on something together. 

On Wednesday, July 2 Musk responded to the tweet saying that he is not building anything on Ethereum and does not own any of the currency. He added that he is not "for or against" the technology.
