Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin reflected on building Ethereum and Ethereum 2.0 in a recent episode of the Hashing It Out podcast.

Buterin stated that the team had underestimated how long establishing a Proof-of-Stake system and building sharding into the network would take. 

Taking it even further back, Buterin mentioned that gas prices had not been set well at the beginning of Ethereum. He expressed regret at time wasted while debating technical components of the blockchain. 

Ethereum 2.0 has been delayed several times, but the launch is on its way.
