Brazil's Securities and Exchange Commission has stopped Binance from offering derivatives products, arguing that Binance does not have authorization to act as a securities intermediary in the country, according to an order released Monday, July 6.

It is important to note that the order stated that derivative contracts are securities regardless of the underlying assets. 

The order concluded by demanding that Binance immediately stop broadcasting securities intermediation services — including derivatives contracts — either directly through its website or indirectly through methods like social media advertisements.
