Facebook’s highly anticipated cryptocurrency might be moving a long faster than we thought, according to CoinTelegraph. Facebook is set to release a white paper that will be outlining the fundamentals of their cryptocurrency on June 18.

Facebook’s cryptocurrency project started up around a year ago With David Marcus, the former president of PayPal, leading the way for what is estimated to be around a hundred-person staff. The project has mostly been kept under wraps with people questioning everything from the name of the coin to how involved CEO Mark Zuckerberg is with the project.

The coin is going to be a borderless currency with no transaction fees, which will be huge in developing countries. The coin will keep its value by being associated with several currencies and some low-risk securities. Facebook will also be providing some physical infrastructure as they build ATM like terminals that individuals could use to trade in the digital asset for fiat currency.
