Accodring to FXStreet, with the passage of a new law, the French insurance market can now invest in cryptocurrencies. The bill,“Plan d’action pour la croissance et la transformation des entreprises” (Pacte), allows French insurers to invest in cryptocurrencies like bitcoin without limiting the amount of money they can invest in. The dual provisions of the bill enable insurers to invest in cryptocurrencies through specialized professional funds, and allow them to offer crypto-related life insurance policies.
