According to data released by CFTC, overall institutional investment in bitcoin futures that were offered by CME fell last week. Institutional investors and asset managers held 244 open long positions and 80 open short positions, down nearly 30 percent and 11 percent from last week, respectively. Investors held just 3 open spreading positions, down 32 from last week. That suggests a slight bearish sentiment among investors. Currently, the CME bitcoin futures contract has 3,267 open long positions and 4,177 open short positions.
