U.S. Congressman Patrick McHenry, representative of North Carolina’s 10th district, believes that regulators should always say “yes” to innovation in the cryptocurrency industry.

On Laura Shin’s podcast Unchained McHenry stated that he knew the response from capitol hill would be negative and struggle to keep pace with the new possibilities. Mchenry also said that cryptocurrency needs smarter regulation and more asurance from the Commodities Futures Trading Comission and the Securities (CFTC) and Exchange Commission (SEC), on top of more clarity from the U.S. Treasury and IRS in regard to taxing authority.
