According to tweet from user Indian CryptoGirl, Indian’s largest private sector lender – the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) Bank, had been sending email to local residents who make cryptocurrency purchases. The email requires them to clarify the nature of cryptocurrency-related transactions to any local financial institutions within 30 days, otherwise, the account holder’s assets will be frozen without further notice. The user stated, this made her more confident the digital assets will allow users take full control over their own money.
