$7 Million Worth of Bitcoin From 2016 Bitfinex Hack Incident Were Moved to Unknown Wallet This Morning

Around 620 bitcoins (approximately 7 million USD) from the 2016 Bitfinex hack have been transferred to unknown wallets on August 3, as detected by Twitter-based blockchain tracker Whale Alert. 

Previously on July 27, hackers shuffled around $27 million worth of stolen bitcoin to wallets that they can control. 

In 2016, Bitfinex suffered one of the severest security breaches in history, resulting in the theft of $72 million in bitcoin from customer’s wallets.
