A government-owned commercial bank in Switzerland is planning to launch cryptocurrency services, as reported by local outlet Finews.

The bank, Basler Kantonalbank, is working with national banking group and subsidiary Bank Cler to work towards allowing customers to trade and store cryptocurrencies. 

Bank Cler will be the first bank in Switzerland to offer crypto services. The bank stated that the decision to offer crypto options is a response to an increased demand for them from younger clients.
