$1.39 million was stolen from European cryptocurrency trading platform 2gether by a group of unknown hackers, as reported by Cointelegraph.

In a recent thread of tweets Ramon Ferraz Estrada, CEO of 2gether, stated that the hack targeted crypto investment accounts and exposed user passwords, but assured clients that their wallets were safe. However some commenters on the thread felt Estrada's explanation, which came 20 hours after the attack, was too little too late.

2gether is offering clients its native token for 5 cents each to cover any lost funds and is working towards making its app available again.
