The Supreme People’s Court of The People’s Republic of China issued, on its official website on August 5, a notice of request for public comments on Opinions on Strengthening Protection of Copyright and Interests Related to Copyright (Exposure Draft), in order to proactively promote the implementation of the pilot program of the reform of separation of cases into simple cases and complicated ones as well as to substantially reduce the time taken for lawsuits concerning copyright and interests related to copyright.

It will improve the regulations on intellectual property right lawsuit and allow the collection, storage and submission of evidence through approaches including blockchain and timestamp, effectively reducing the burden of proof on IPR holders.
