One of the key benefits of blockchain is the ability to interact without a trusted intermediary. In advertising, advertisers could cut out ad agencies and instead work directly with end-users who could create content on social networking apps like Instagram to promote ad campaigns. Advertising agencies typically have high fees, so this could be a money-saving step for companies.

Blockchain's ingrained security features could also help to stop ad fraud, a common scam which discourages consumers from clicking on even legitimate ads.

SaTT is one company working towards blockchain solutions in advertising and has already launched their Ethereum based platform using smart contracts and tokens to facilitate ad transactions.
