According to Decrypt, Iden3, an open-source company that manages self-sovereign identities, launched Hermez on August 10 to improve Ethereum’s scalability, making a considerable advancement by increasing the current transactions per second (TPS) rate of 15 to 2,000. It will group multiple transactions on a separate chain and then upload those as single transactions. Hermez also reduces the cost of transactions greatly as it’s not dependent on transaction fees.
