Blockchain Venture Capital, the Canadian blockchain research firm, launched a United States dollar‑pegged stablecoin, according to a press release.

The CUSD comes four months after the firm launched CADT, a stablecoin that is pegged to Canada’s national currency. CUSD will be pegged 1:1 with the USD. This new stablecoin is especially useful for cross border transactions between the U.S. and Canada.
