The world's most diverse derivatives marketplace, CME Group, has revealed they will launch options for Bitcoins futures contracts on Jan. 13, 2020, pending regulatory review, according to MarketScreener.
Tim McCourt, CME Group Global Head of Equity Index and Alternative Investment Products said that since the launch of Bitcoin futures “nearly two years ago,” Clients have shown and increased interest in “options as another way to hedge and trade in these markets." CME Group will be the only derivatives marketplace to offer hedge or trade benchmark options on futures across every investable asset class.
