According to local news outlet CityNews, residents of Sherbrooke, Quebec are complaining about the noise coming from Bitfarms’ facility. The firm’s executive has spoken up about this issue and claimed that a 23-meter wall would be built to solve the problem. Bitfarms takes advantage of cheap local power by running five mining operations across the province. The firm reportedly pays about $2.25 million dollars per year for its electricity use. This is not the first time Bitfarms has to deal with noise issues. Back in 2017, the firm had similar complains and it has since improved the condition.By Minh Nguyen
