Alibaba Pictures, the movie-making arm of the Alibaba Group, is reportedly gearing up to tokenize distribution rights for their new film "Striding into the Wind,” according to Chinese English-language publication China.org.cn.

Alibaba reached an agreement with Breaker, the New York-based decentralized entertainment platform, to distribute the film overseas through their blockchain platform. Tokenization could provide a drastic change to how films are financed, allowing for smaller investors to get in on the funding of movies.
