Crypto trading platform Robinhood has hired two big bank executives to lead compliance efforts on both financial and securities teams, according to a recent announcement.

Former head of Fidelity compliance, Norm Askensas, will lead compliance for the company. Former head of oversight and control at Wells Fargo Advisors, Kelly Zigatis, will lead the securities compliance team.

The two new hires come after Robinhood was hit with a $1.25 million dollar fine from the Financial Industrial Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in December 2019 for failing to ensure customers were receiving the best deals on their orders.
