The Bank of Korea accepted external consultation for the establishment of the "Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) Demonstration System," according to an Aug 30 report by Yonhap News.
The Bank said that as of last month, they had completed CBDC basic business, and based on this, they promoted the second phase of the business - "CBDC business process analysis and external consulting."
Through consultation and design of CBDC business procedures and system architecture (computer system structure, action mode, data management, security, etc.), a specific implementation plan will be made to promote the construction of "CBDC operation system" next year.
