The combination of Biometric authentication, blockchain and digital ID are being utilized to help track people in the Bahamas after the damage done by Hurricane Dorian.

Hurricane Dorian Hit the Bahamas back in August and still has the country reeling from its destruction. The hurricane killed at least 50 people and left more than 7,000 missing. These numbers have been reduced significantly by creating a blockchain-supported facial recognition missing persons database.

The effort was supported by Truface, a computer vision company, in collaboration with blockchain technology operator Bluestone Technologies, a startup based in the Bahamas.
