Almost $2 million was stolen from small Slovakian crypto exchange Eterbase on Tuesday, September 8, as reported by DeCrypt.

The hackers made off with funds in the form of Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Tezos, Algorand and TRON by compromising the exchange's hot wallets. Hot wallets are connected to the internet, while cold wallets are offline.

The exchange emphasized that no personal information was stolen in a tweet following the incident. The company statement added that the attack has been reported to authorities and that withdrawals in euros will be suspended until September 10.
