One of the new multisigs for SushiSwap, Adam Cochran, outlined his plan for fulfilling his role in a fair and neutral way in a lengthy Twitter thread on Sunday, September 13.

He stated that he believes a multisig can be part of a community as long as their personal opinions never get in the way of community votes. Cochran shared that his Sushi holdings never exceeded more than 0.5% of his portfolio, but that regardless he will sell the last of his holdings over the next 72 hours so that he can be a truly neutral multisig.

In addition to selling his Sushi, Cochran has set multisig tenure with a 3-month expiry, adding that if there isn't a DAO to take over after him then the community should replace him.

Cochran has been heavily involved in the SushiSwap project by participating in Discord discussions, making proposals and managing a SushiSwap resource document. He highlighted at the end of his thread that fair governance is complicated, but that decentralized fair governance is even more complicated and its new meaning there will be mistakes.
