The Bank of Lithuania is set to release the “world’s first” blockchain-based digital collector coin in Spring 2020, according to a press release.

The coin is dedicated to the Act of Independence of Lithuania on Feb. 16, 1918, and its 20 signatories. coins, which are the size and shape of a credit card, will cost 19.18 euros, in homage to the year of the act. The bank plans to release 24,000 collector tokens with each token featuring one of the 20 signatories.

The digital tokens will be divided into six categories Buyers will receive six randomly selected digital tokens upon purchase and after collecting a token from each of the six categories the collector will be able to redeem a physical silver coin.
