The New York Department of Financial Services is ready to amend the infamous BitLicense, which could lead to a more painstaking process for listing coins, according to TheBlock.

The NYDFS is proposing two new options to the coin listing process. One would be to propose a page that shows a list of coins allowed by the agency. The second suggestion is a framework for listing new coins "that can be tailored to a VC licensee's specific business model and risk profile." over 20 cryptocurrency companies have been granted the license since it’s inception in 2015
