Two DeFi projects — Harvest Finance (FARM) and Cream Finance (CREAM) — had code bugs that resulted in the loss of user funds on Friday, September 18.

Harvest Finance had an error with wETH/CREAM smart contracts which prevented users from removing their funds. Meanwhile, Cream Finance had issues with staking contracts forcing the team to temporarily take them down.

The problems were quickly resolved with help from Yearn Finance founder Andre Cronje. Harvest Finance announced in a tweet that user balances had been restored, withdrawals were re-enabled and that all WETH participants were in profit.

Cronje noted in a tweet that the code bugs had not gathered widespread attention and asked if errors resulting in the loss of user funds are now accepted as a DeFi norm.
