Craig Wright will go to trial to defend his claim on an $11 billion Bitcoin fortune after his request for summary judgement was denied by an order released on Monday, September 21.

Plaintiff Ira Kleiman is arguing on behalf of his late brother David that half of Wright's Bitcoin fortune and intellectual property belongs to his brother's estate. Kleiman states that the Bitcoin was mined by both David and Wright. The charges were first raised in 2018.

Wright's plea for summary judgement was made up of 6 claims including the court's lack of subject matter jurisdiction and statute of limitations. The trial has been set for January 4, 2021, according to a Florida court order
