Gemini, the cryptocurrency exchange, and financial services firm State Street Corporation will launch their reporting pilot for cryptocurrency holdings under custody.

According to a press release published on Dec. 17, the two entities teamed up to deliver a pilot that would merge Gemini Custody, the exchange’s custody wing, with State Street’s back-office reporting. This project will allow users to consolidate the reporting of their virtual currency processed by Gemini along with their traditional assets serviced by State Street.

The pilot will start out only creating reports for two cryptocurrencies chosen for liquidity reasons but aims to include more further down the line.
