Team Toast, the developers behind the ecentralised and oppression resilient fiat-to-crypto gateway, DAIHard, have put forward a plan for the nation of Zimbabwe that could end corruption.

Zimbabwe faces oppressive legislation on citizens in an attempt to prop up the failing economic system. The country’s ban on foreign currency transaction has led to an increase in the use LocalBitcoin. The large premiums being placed on BTC’s price in the region and the volatility of the coin makes it a less than ideal option.

In response Team Toast has published The ZimDai Whitepaper, which will serve as the plan to economically free the people of Zimbabwe. The main plan is to recruit a network of ZimDai agents. These agents will offer bank-like services such as inter-city transfers, international Dai to cash-in-hand for remittances from abroad, access to South African bank accounts, or simply education on how to set up and use the Dai stable cryptocurrency.

The agents will charge a small fee in return for their services, but this is a better situation than being charged huge fees by banks and other financial institutions.
