David Jevans, the CEO of blockchain sleuth CipherTrace, announced at the annual Rakuten Technology Conference that "almost every" Japanese bank was beginning to use the XRP cryptocurrency.

2019 continues to be a great year for Ripple, the company behind XRP, as the company also surpassed 300 costumers this year. This is consistent with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse's prediction that the top 20 biggest banks will hold or trade crypto in the next year.
